Born in the district in 1976, Miguel has been cultivating coffee since 1995. While he began with traditional varieties like Caturra, his drive for quality led him to experiment with exotic cultivars, resulting in this exceptional Geisha lot.

Miguel is a leading figure within the La Prosperidad de Chirinos cooperative. His dedication to excellence took him to the global stage in 2019, where he represented the cooperative’s 800+ members at the Specialty Coffee Expo in Boston. Today, his farm serves as a model for the community, where he hosts internships to teach other farmers how to refine their harvest and processing techniques.

Sustainability & Soil Health Grown at an elevation of 1,731 meters, this coffee is cultivated using strictly chemical-free practices. The cooperative supports this commitment through "Pachakushi," a dedicated facility that produces organic compost from sheep manure and coffee pulp. This ensures the fertile volcanic soil remains nutrient-rich and sustainable for future generations without the use of synthetic fertilizers.
